The Club has in place a Child Welfare Officer, Child Protection Policy and Codes of Conduct which are agreed by parents and players upon registration with the Club. All personnel in contact with the children undergo a CRB check. All our coaches and a number of parents have gained First Aid Certificates.
We are fortunate to have had a number of parents volunteer to undertake refereeing courses. This has enabled the Club to field where available, four F.A. qualified referees at weekend fixtures. The club also utilises where available, Echo League qualified referees.
Players are selected on a trial basis. Please contact individual team managers or the Club Secretary to arrange a trial. Click here for current players wanted.
Once a player is selected to play for Woodford Youth F.C., they are required to complete a registration process. A registration pack is provided for every player selected. Within this pack is all the information a player will require to help decide if they wish to play for our club. The registration process is complete once all the relevant paperwork is completed and returned by the player/parents/carers.
An annual registration fee is payable upon registration. This fee helps towards the cost of the player's kit. Every player receives a brand new Nike kit every season, comprising of shirt, shorts and socks. Every other year every player is also provided with a brand new Nike weatherproof jacket. Any remaining amount from the registration fee, along with monthly fees paid by each player, goes towards the club's running costs, the details of which are found in the registration pack. Our research has shown that our registration and monthly fees compare favourably against other local clubs. Every season, the Mighty Orange Army pack their bags and head off on the annual 'Foxes on Tour' event. Every season since our formation has seen between 200 - 300 Foxes participate in a weekend of footy fun on the coast. We have enjoyed phenomenal success every year, in addition to the event proving to be a great team and parent bonding opportunity. Our club Presentation Evening's usually follow not long after our return from Tour, and are a wonderful celebration of the efforts and achievements of all involved at Woodford Youth F.C.
Woodford Youth F.C. are currently working towards achieving the F.A. Charter Standard Award. Our aim is to submit our application for this Award during the current season. We have had in place the criteria required, since the Club's formation. It is our hope to have this officially recognised with the achievement of the Charter Standard Award.
