Woodford continues the steady flow of players progressing to professional Academies and Schools of Excellence.

• Catholic Utd FC Tournament

Woodford Youth teams took a trip to the Essex seaside town of Southend to take part in the Catholic Utd FC and Essex Royals FC tournaments, and returned home laden with silverware!

Held over two days, the Catholic Utd FC tournament saw the U14's B team and U9's A teams perform brilliantly on Saturday,to take the winners trophies home, with the U14's C finishing in runners up spot,  losing top spot to their fellow Foxes. 

Sunday was the turn of the U14's A team who won every game without conceding a goal, adding another winners trophy to their already impressive haul.  The U7's boys performed well on the day and got more footy under their belts. 

The U10's A team lost out on a place in the final following a penalty shoot-out in the semis.

•  Essex Royals FC Tournament

Meanwhile, the U12's A team made the trip to Essex's famous seaside resort to compete in the Essex Royals FC tournament.

Once again the lads were on great form, also not conceding all day and eventually adding another winners trophy to their ever expanding collection!

Well done to everyone who competed, and thank you to the hosts of both tournaments.

The boys and girls in orange have had another good weekend of pre-season preparation and are eager to see the 2010/11 season get underway!
