Woodford Youth Football Club

With all teams turning in some terrific performances, great results came our way and we are proud to say Woodford were represented in every possible Final.

Congratulations to the Under 9's A, Under 12's A and Under 13's A who all retained their Suffolk Championship titles.  Commiserations go to the Under 10's D who lost out in the Final v Barnet Azzuri on sudden death penalties, and likewise the Under 11's A who were taken to a penalty decider also.

 The Under 10's A came agonizingly close to making the Final an all Woodford affair, but missed out by just a single point. 

The Under 10's C were their usual determined, hardworking selves, turning in some exciting performances, not least against our very own Under 10's A boys.

The Under 11's C played some extremely impressive and skilful football, but they too were very narrowly pipped to the Final.

The Under 8's teams participated in Festival Football, therefore no reuslts were recorded, but suffice to say our boys scored plenty of goals and had lots of fun along the way.

The quality of Woodford's football was commented upon by a number of fellow competitors, so you should all be very proud of your performances!

As was the case last year, the Tour was very well organised and officiated professionally.  A superb Presentation Evening topped off the weekend.  All awards were presented by ex-Newcastle Utd., Charlton Athletic and England footballer, Rob Lee.

But the final word must go to our amazing Mighty Orange Army.  Our teams were brilliantly supported by family and friends, (although it was a busy task trying to make it from one pitch to another!)  The support for the boys in their Finals was wonderful. 

Another tremendous Tour, some awesome footy, some scary dancing from U12's A Richard Burton, more great memories and yet more trophies for our ever expanding trophy cabinet!
